Meaning: The Karpur Gauram Karunavtaram mantra is a Sanskrit verse dedicated to Lord Shiva, portraying his serene and divine form. It describes him as being as pure and white as camphor (karpur gauram), a symbol of purity and detachment. He is the embodiment of compassion (karunavataram), the essence of the world (samsara saram), and always in a meditative state. The mantra also references his adornment with the king of serpents (bhujagendra haram), symbolizing fearlessness and transcendence over worldly fears. It ends with a heartfelt salutation, acknowledging Shiva as the eternal guru and source of enlightenment.

Benefits: Chanting or listening to the Karpur Gauram mantra brings a sense of calmness, purity, and spiritual clarity. It is often used during Aarti, meditation, or prayer to invoke Lord Shiva’s blessings for inner peace, protection, and guidance. The mantra helps center the mind, reduces stress, and fosters a deep sense of devotion and surrender. Regular recitation is believed to cleanse negative energies and elevate one’s spiritual consciousness.
